Junior Java Developer

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Java Engineer with strong experience in Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

What You'll Do

• Participate in all agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with project team members, including Product Managers, Architects, and Analysts.
• Drive development efforts end-to-end for on-time delivery of high-quality solutions that conform to requirements, the architectural vision, and applicable standards.
• Collaborate with senior technical staff and PMs to identify, document, plan contingency, track, and manage risks and issues until resolution.
• Present technical solutions, capabilities, considerations, and features in business terms.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks precisely and timely.
• Partner with product teams on implementation strategy.
• Participate in design and code review sessions to ensure the quality of work delivered by self and teammates aligns with development standards.
• Target a minimum of 3-5 meaningful commits per day (50-100 commits per month) and a minimum of 10 story points per sprint.

Expertise You'll Bring

• Experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.) and Python.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached, Hazelcast).
• Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with SQL (Postgres, MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Skill in development and deployment on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience using JIRA and Git for software development.
• Experience leveraging AI Coding assistant tools (GitHub Copilot, Cline, Aider, Continue, Cursor).
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models (OpenAI, Claude etc.), MCP (Model Context Protocol), and AI agents frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Experience with designing enterprise-grade applications/platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
