About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Frontend Engineer for a freelance position to contribute to advanced AI evaluation initiatives. This role focuses on frontend development, responsive user interfaces, and modern web technologies. You will work with AI-generated outputs for frontend frameworks, UI components, responsive layouts, accessibility, and web application workflows, aiming to enhance how AI models generate and interpret production-quality frontend solutions. Collaboration with global AI and engineering teams will be key to assessing the correctness, usability, and maintainability of AI-generated code and interface designs. Your work will directly improve AI systems used in coding assistance, web development, and frontend engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create deliverables addressing common requests in frontend development, including webpage layouts, UI components, and frontend optimization strategies.
• Annotate and evaluate AI-generated frontend code responses across various software engineering scenarios.
• Review peer-developed deliverables to ensure high quality and consistency in AI research.
• Diagnose and resolve real-world frontend development challenges to enhance AI reasoning capabilities.
• Assess AI-generated code for responsiveness, accessibility, maintainability, and visual consistency.
• Identify and provide structured feedback on bugs, styling inconsistencies, layout issues, or inefficient implementations in AI-generated solutions.
• Contribute domain expertise to refine AI models focused on frontend development and web technologies.

Requirements

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a related field.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue is preferred.
• Basic understanding of APIs, state management, and modern development workflows.
• Ability to critically evaluate UI layouts, frontend code quality, and user experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
