Junior Web Developer - Digitex Technologies

Digitex Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in web development. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in WordPress and either Laravel or Shopify, along with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clients. This full-time, permanent position is based in Kolkata (Salt Lake – Sector V).

Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress.
• Build and manage web applications using Laravel or develop/customize stores using Shopify.
• Convert UI/UX designs into responsive, high-quality web pages.
• Develop custom themes, plugins, and modules as required.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing websites.
• Ensure website performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers.
• Communicate project updates clearly with clients and internal teams.
• Follow best coding practices and maintain proper documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of professional web development experience.
• Strong expertise in WordPress (theme & plugin development, customization).
• Good experience in Laravel framework OR Shopify development/customization.
• Proficiency in: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP & MySQL, REST APIs integration.
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with Git/version control.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Experience with WooCommerce.
• Experience with third-party API integrations.
• Knowledge of website hosting, deployment, and server management.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
