Junior Data Engineer

Tribute Technology is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer with expertise in AWS and GCP to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and refining our data pipelines, processes, and visualizations. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines within AWS and GCP for a data lake environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data engineering solutions.
• Develop and implement data pipelines and processes to integrate data from diverse sources into the central data ecosystem.
• Enhance data observability and ensure adherence to best practices within the team.
• Address and resolve data pipeline issues promptly, implementing a robust monitoring and incident response strategy.
• Implement best practices for data governance to ensure high data quality, consistency, and security across all data pipelines.
• Foster a collaborative environment, working cross-functionally with business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Create comprehensive documentation for pipelines, data assets, and data products to ensure visibility and discoverability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2 to 4 years of progressive technology experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-native data engineering solutions using core AWS services (Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, IAM roles/policies) and Google BigQuery.
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.
• Proficiency in data engineering technologies including Python, SQL, Spark, batch and real-time streaming pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions.
• Proven experience in data engineering within cloud environments.
• Experience in creating data products and/or managing a data product environment.
