Junior Data Engineer

Waters Corporation, in partnership with BD, is seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to join their data team in Gurugram, India. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to building and maintaining robust data pipelines, supporting essential analytics and reporting functions, and actively participating in the development of the overall data infrastructure. This position is ideal for individuals eager to enhance their data architecture and engineering skills while gaining practical, hands-on experience within a dynamic business operations environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data models for integrated analytics solutions.
• Supporting the ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and flow of both structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborating with data analysts and business stakeholders to ensure the delivery of reliable datasets.
• Monitoring data workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing system performance.
• Ensuring the quality and integrity of downstream data.
• Participating in the maintenance of data documentation, dictionaries, and metadata.
• Learning and applying best practices in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Foundational experience with Python, SQL, DAX, and Power BI.
• A solid understanding of relational databases.
• Proficiency in using version control tools like Git.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a data engineering or data analytics role.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to data pipeline tools such as Databricks or Fabric.
• Knowledge of APIs and various data integration methods.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (coursework or project experience is acceptable).
