Role Overview

Penguin Random House's Data Science team is seeking a Junior AI Engineer to harness the power of emerging technologies. You will build practical tools that enhance internal workflows across marketing, research, and operations using advanced AI techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Create robust automations and applications tailored to business needs in marketing, research, and workflow optimization.
• Design, test, and refine language model-based solutions for classification, summarization, extraction, generation, and search support tasks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Data Science teams to translate complex stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop Python services and APIs that seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into daily operations.
• Evaluate system performance metrics including quality, speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Identify edge cases, optimize system behavior, and establish best practices for applied AI development within the organization.
• Stay ahead of rapid advancements in the AI landscape to evaluate and adopt cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
