Jr. DevOps Role

Role Overview

We are seeking a Jr. DevOps professional (W2 Only) for our Lansing, MI location. This is a Contract to Hire position with an initial training phase followed by hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and support of software application infrastructure including deployment automation and security administration.
• Maintain Linux-based Jenkins servers and CI/CD pipelines (Groovy) integrating with Bitbucket, OpenShift, Maven, and NPM.
• Configure and monitor Kubernetes/OpenShift namespaces using Helm and Argo.
• Manage Kafka installations within Kubernetes environments.
• Maintain Tekton (OpenShift Pipelines) based CI/CD pipelines.
• Administer Windows virtual servers with IIS, PowerShell, and Active Directory.
• Monitor systems availability via Instana, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Troubleshoot database issues and optimize system performance.

Technical Requirements

Ideal candidates possess experience in object-oriented software development, CI/CD across various SDLCs, automation scripting, source code management, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and databases. Proficiency with Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.

Qualifications & Schedule

• Schedule: 5 days onsite for training followed by hybrid work (2 days in office) after the initial period. Training duration is at least 3 months specific to the Lansing location only.
• Type: Contract to Hire based out of Lansing, MI.
