Jr. DevOps Engineer

Junior DevOps / Platform Engineer - Delhi

Valiant Communications Limited is seeking a motivated Junior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join our team in Delhi. This role is crucial in building, automating, and managing our internally developed platform solutions, including custom-built interfaces, containerized services, and automated build systems.

You will play a key role in designing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and production-ready systems deployed on dedicated environments. This position is perfect for an individual passionate about hands-on system work, automation, and continuous experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain software components within controlled environments.
• Manage and operate containerized applications and related services.
• Package applications and services into deployable artifacts.
• Design and maintain automated build and release pipelines.
• Create and maintain scripts to automate system tasks and service operations.
• Configure and maintain web services and related networking components.
• Continuously evaluate and experiment with tools and technologies to improve platform efficiency.
• Participate in system optimization, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience (approx. 1-3 years based on title) in DevOps, system engineering, or infrastructure-focused roles.
• Strong understanding of Linux-based systems and command-line operations.
• Experience working with containers and image-building workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and build automation processes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot system-level and application-level issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in self-hosted or on-premise environments.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging systems.
• Familiarity with reverse proxies or web server configuration.
• Experience handling packaged software releases and distribution workflows.
