Seeking a Simulation Engineer to focus on HVAC and thermal systems for automotive applications. This role involves 0D and 1D system analysis using specialized tools, supporting system and component specification within thermal system and HVAC development, and processing simulation results for customer presentations. The ideal candidate will synthesize engineering solutions and provide design recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and perform concept layout of thermal and HVAC systems for various automotive powertrains including conventional, hybrid, battery electric, and fuel cell vehicles.
• Simulate and develop coolant and AC circuits using 1D simulation tools.
• Design heat exchangers and vehicle cooling packages.
• Define fundamental algorithms for energy-efficient thermal management controls.
• Interpret and evaluate measurement results.
• Conduct detailed post-processing of results, prepare them, and provide recommendations for thermal and AC system improvements.
• Process test data and correlate simulation results with test outcomes.
• Present project results, technical documentation, and reports to clients.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the specific domain of HVAC and thermal systems.
• Professional experience, ideally within the automotive industry, is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, hydraulics, and turbomachinery.
• Basic understanding of control algorithms for mechatronic systems.
• Proficiency with numerical simulation (CAE) and confidence in using CAE tools such as GT-Suite, AMESim, Flowmaster, KULI, CruiseM, and Matlab/SIMULINK.
• Skilled in performing plausibility checks and interpreting/evaluating analysis and measurement results.
• Basic programming skills in Matlab or Python.
• Highly self-organized, responsible, and capable of working effectively in teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
