JAVA/Microservices Technical Lead

We are seeking a talented JAVA/Microservices Technical Lead with the rank of Vice President to join our Software Engineering team in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will lead the architectural design and modernization of key components within our ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with business product owners to design and build innovative solutions for Investment Banking Division (IBD) and Global Capital Markets (GCM). Regular communication with product leads across the technology organization is essential to identify opportunities for improving existing and future technology solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will personally tackle the most challenging technical problems and provide technical mentorship and leadership to a squad of developers.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and its associated technology stack. You should have at least 8 years of hands-on experience with Java EE and core Java, coupled with strong leadership qualities. Experience in web service development, REST, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is required. Expertise in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), design patterns, architecture, and application integration is crucial. A working knowledge of databases, including design and SQL proficiency, is necessary. You should have strong experience with development and automated testing frameworks such as Spring Boot, JUnit, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD). The ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal and external groups, including offshore development and QA teams, internal infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams, is vital. Strong development skills with the ability to understand technical designs and translate them into workable solutions are expected. Experience with Web UI JS frameworks like AngularJS and NoSQL databases like MongoDB is beneficial.
