JAVA/Microservices

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer with expertise in JAVA/Microservices to join our team in Mumbai. This role involves leading the architectural design and modernization of key components within our ecosystem, collaborating with business product owners to develop solutions for Investment Banking Division (IBD) and Global Capital Markets (GCM). You will communicate with product leads across the technology organization to identify improvement opportunities for current and future technology solutions. As a hands-on engineer, you will tackle complex challenges and provide technical mentorship to a squad of developers.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and its related technology stack, including at least 3 years of hands-on Java EE and core Java experience. Strong leadership qualities are essential. Experience in web service development, REST, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is required. Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration is crucial. A working knowledge of databases, including design and SQL proficiency, is necessary. Strong experience with development and automated testing frameworks like SpringBoot, Junit, and BDD is expected.

You should be able to coordinate effectively with multiple internal and external groups, including offshore development and QA teams, internal infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams. Excellent development skills are needed, along with the ability to understand technical designs and translate them into practical solutions. Familiarity with Web UI JS Frameworks such as AngularJS and NoSQL databases like MongoDB is also required.
