We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru team. Work alongside engineers to develop and maintain applications across the customer journey lifecycle at Bookingcom. Collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, and data engineers to ensure deliverables meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain APIs, tools, and data centralization capabilities.
• Solve technical problems to improve development efficiency and unlock business opportunities.
• Contribute to software architecture discussions, ensuring agile, incremental, and long-term beneficial solutions.
• Systematically identify and resolve complex issues using logical and analytical thinking.
• Provide stable, well-defined solutions to accelerate business decisions and strengthen payment pipeline integrity.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong Java knowledge (preferably Python or Go).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Proven experience in System Design and Software Architecture.
• Excellent communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, RDS, S3, microservices, and Reliability/Site Reliability/Observability is a plus.
