About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Java Web Developer to join our team in Kolkata. This role involves developing dynamic, secure, and scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java-based web technologies and frameworks, with practical experience in integrating frontend interfaces with backend services.

Key Responsibilities

Web Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java.
• Build server-side components with JSP, Servlets, and Spring MVC.
• Create reusable and efficient backend logic to support frontend functionalities.
• Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and performant.

Frontend & Backend Integration

• Integrate frontend elements (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with backend services.
• Implement RESTful APIs for web systems.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement designs into functional web applications.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.

Security & Performance

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Adhere to application security best practices, including session management and input validation.
• Optimize application performance and responsiveness.
• Debug and resolve performance and stability issues.

Server & Deployment

• Deploy and manage applications on Apache Tomcat servers.
• Configure web servers like Apache HTTP Server.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience (2-6 years) in Java web application development.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and web application architecture.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
