Senior Java AWS Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java AWS Developer for our large-scale application modernization program. You will design and develop scalable backend services using Core Java and AWS serverless technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Core Java.
• Implement AWS serverless and event-driven solutions including Lambda and SQS.
• Create data persistence layers with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Ensure high code quality with unit tests (JUnit/Mockito) and robust error handling.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ in Java.
• Strong Core Java, OOP, Collections, Streams, Multithreading.
• PostgreSQL/SQL, JDBC, REST APIs.
• JUnit/Mockito testing and Maven/Git proficiency.

AWS Skills

Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, SNS, EventBridge is required. Serverless architecture knowledge is essential.

Preferred Skills

• IaC (CDK, Terraform).
• Legacy modernization experience.
• AWS Certifications and Microservices understanding.

Senior-Level Expectations

Takes ownership of complex modules, participates in architecture discussions, provides code reviews, and communicates technical decisions effectively. Prior enterprise application modernization experience is preferred.
