About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President - Java Software Engineer to join our hybrid team (office: 3 days/week). This leadership position sits within Parametric's Investment Systems, focusing on building scalable financial software for Direct Indexing and portfolio management.
Your Impact:
- Technical Leadership: Provide direct guidance to a team of engineers, mentoring them while delivering well-architected Java/J2EE solutions using Spring Boot and microservices.
- Innovation: Design distributed systems leveraging AWS cloud native technologies and event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka) for high-performance, resilient platforms.
- Process Excellence: Drive strategy to streamline rule-based analytics, order generation, and straight-through processing in a highly regulated environment.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 12+ years of hands-on development with proven delivery track records.
- Tech Stack: Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Relational/NoSQL databases (Redis, DynamoDB), and SQL.
- AWS & AI: Experience with AWS cloud native tools is preferred; familiarity with enterprise AI development tools like GitHub Copilot Enterprise for specification-driven development.
