Java Software Engineer Opportunity in Pune, India

Spiro Service is seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to join their team in Pune. This permanent role requires a candidate with 1-3 years of experience in backend Java development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications utilizing Spring Boot and associated frameworks.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and Software Development Kits (SDKs) with existing enterprise systems.
• Perform data modeling and querying using SQL and MySQL databases; experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Redis is advantageous.
• Collaborate effectively within Agile development teams, leveraging Jira for project planning and Git for version control.
• Actively participate in code reviews, comprehensive testing, debugging, and documentation processes.
• Optimize and fine-tune backend code to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Support deployment activities in containerized and cloud environments, with Docker and AWS experience being a plus.
• Work closely with business analysts and senior engineers to clearly define requirements and deliver effective software solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a backend Java developer.
• Proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git for source control, and unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• A solid understanding of software design principles, including MVC, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Exposure to message queue systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and distributed caching solutions.
• Basic frontend development skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are considered a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and teamwork capabilities.
