Java Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Core Java Developer with strong Oracle Database expertise for a long-term contract/contract-to-hire engagement. This is a remote position, open to candidates across India, with a preference against those in Hyderabad.

About the Role:

This high-impact role involves working on scalable backend systems, performance optimization, and enterprise-grade applications for a US Fortune 500 financial client. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining critical software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using Core Java.
• Design and optimize Oracle SQL queries, PL/SQL procedures, and triggers.
• Focus on performance tuning and database optimization.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate actively in code reviews and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Core Java (OOP, Java 8+).
• Deep understanding of Java Collections and Multithreading.
• Solid knowledge of JVM internals, including memory management and Garbage Collection (GC).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
• Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, and stored procedures.
• Proven experience in query optimization and performance tuning.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and coding best practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 7–9 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong backend engineering mindset.
• Experience in the financial domain is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Ability to join immediately or with a short notice period (up to 30 days).
