We are seeking a motivated Java/Scala Developer with an Associate Software Engineering title to join our team in Mumbai, MH, IN. In this role, you will perform business and data analysis to investigate and propose solutions for various business problems, collaborating closely with clients and your team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining web and data processing applications, with technology choices varying based on component types and team strategy. A key focus will be on performance and scalability optimization for large-scale deployments. You will define new features in conjunction with product management and provide detailed specifications, ensuring the quality and completeness of the final product through unit testing, documentation, and ongoing maintenance. This role requires strong programming skills in Java/Scala, with experience in web development, web services (REST API), data engineering, and high-performance data processing applications. Experience with Angular UI Development, particularly in building reliable interfaces for handling large volumes of data and supporting data slicing, is highly valued. Familiarity with the Spark Framework and application-level caching software is preferred. Extensive experience with DevOps tooling, including unit and functional testing, is essential. Experience with rule engines such as SlateX, ILog, or JRule is a plus. Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is also preferred. Experience with job scheduler tools, preferably Autosys, is beneficial. Exposure to the BFSI and finance industry is preferred. We are looking for candidates with a high interest in Finance business and data analysis, and ideally an interest in accounting, including financial products like derivatives accounting and regulatory requirements. You should be eager to learn and work closely with internal finance controllers. Strong ownership, accountability, and a desire to take on expanded roles over time are crucial. The ability to multitask, work against deadlines, and embrace new technologies for enterprise-level data solutions is essential. You should be capable of working effectively with a global team in a collaborative development environment, possessing advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to address real-world business issues.
