Java Identity Engineer - CIAM

Mindera is seeking an experienced Identity Engineer with strong Java and Cloud expertise to contribute to and deliver CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) workstreams. This role involves designing and building secure identity solutions, integrating modern authentication standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance customer identity and access management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain identity services and integrations using Java.
• Support and deliver CIAM-related workstreams, encompassing authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle workflows.
• Implement and integrate Identity and Access Management (IAM) standards such as OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
• Utilize cloud platforms, with a preference for Microsoft Azure, for application deployment, identity management, and service integrations.
• Build scalable microservices and APIs tailored for identity-related functionalities.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to architect secure identity solutions.
• Troubleshoot identity-related issues and continuously improve system reliability, performance, and security.

Must-Have Skills

• Extensive, hands-on experience in Java and backend development.
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms, with Azure being preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in building APIs, microservices, and integration workflows.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Kotlin and the Micronaut framework.
• Knowledge of CIAM protocols and standards including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
• Exposure to Azure AD / Azure B2C, including application registrations and identity integrations.
• Understanding of modern authentication practices, token-based access, and API security.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with identity governance and access management tools.
• Familiarity with security best practices and cloud architecture patterns.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity for independent work.
