Morgan Stanley is seeking a skilled Java Fullstack Developer for an Associate Software Engineering role in Mumbai, India. This position offers the opportunity to work with an energetic team of intellectual and creative developers on innovative projects using diverse technologies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical Java development skills and expertise across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably within a major enterprise. A strong foundation in design and implementation is essential. While prior experience in technology disaster recovery, business continuity management, and crisis/incident management is valued, the ability and willingness to quickly master new technical and business concepts are paramount.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable full-stack applications in a secure, high-performance environment.
• Collaborating closely with architects, developers, product managers, and users to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Writing clean, maintainable code for both front-end (CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, React or Angular) and back-end (Java, Node.js, Python) technologies.
• Integrating applications with APIs, databases (e.g., Postgres), and third-party systems.
• Participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
• Contributing to the improvement of development processes, tools, and system architectures.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across the full technology stack.
• Maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation of code, configurations, and processes.
• Writing technical user stories that detail the design and build of business functionality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and at least 5 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.

Required skills and experience include:

• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (CSS, TypeScript, JavaScript) and frameworks like React (preferred) or Angular.
• Solid experience with back-end technologies (Java, Node.js, Python) and Rest API integration.
• Proficiency with relational databases, such as Postgres.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps tools.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and experience in regulated environments (financial services is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
• Effective communication skills with a collaborative and innovative mindset.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• A strong sense of ownership for project deliverables.
