The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for end-to-end design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-grade application systems. Working in close collaboration with engineering leads, product managers, architects, and business stakeholders, the incumbent will contribute to modernizing, scaling, and engineering mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Stack Application Engineering: Design, build, test, and deploy resilient, scalable solutions using Java/J2EE (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, Microservices architecture. Develop interactive user interfaces with Angular or React.
- Databases & Persistence: Maintain relational data models on Oracle Database, optimize queries, and integrate NoSQL storehouses like MongoDB where applicable.
- Architecture & Cloud Integration: Participate in architectural discussions. Support containerization with Docker/OpenShift/Kubernetes. Assist in cloud readiness for AWS/GCP environments.
- CI/CD & DevOps: Collaborate on automated build, scanning, and deployment workflows (Tekton, Jenkins). Identify bottlenecks and remediate production incidents to guarantee system uptime.
Qualifications
Mandatory Experience:
- 4+ years in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java (8/11/17+) with Spring Framework / Boot.
- Front-end experience with Angular or React.js, TypeScript, and ES6+.
- In-depth Oracle Database knowledge (SQL, PL/SQL).
- Proficiency with Git/Maven/GitLab CI.
Preferred Skills:
- NoSQL databases.
- Container platforms like Kubernetes.
- Cloud expertise in AWS or GCP.
- Financial services domain knowledge is a plus.
