We are seeking a highly experienced Java Developer to join our team as a Vice President/Software Engineer in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will lead the architectural design and modernization of key components within our ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with product owners and business stakeholders to design and build solutions for Investment Banking Division (IBD) and Global Capital Markets (GCM).

Key responsibilities include communicating regularly with product leads across the technology organization to identify opportunities for improvement in existing and future technology solutions. You will act as a hands-on engineer, personally addressing the most complex technical challenges and providing technical mentorship and leadership to a team of developers.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and the Java-based technology stack. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with Java EE and core Java, coupled with strong leadership qualities, is required. Experience in web service development, REST, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is essential. Expertise in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), design patterns, architecture, and application integration is critical. Working knowledge of databases, including design and SQL proficiency, is also necessary.

Strong experience with development and automated testing frameworks such as SpringBoot, Junit, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) is expected. You must demonstrate the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal and external groups, including offshore development and QA teams, internal infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams. Excellent development skills and the ability to understand technical designs and translate them into workable solutions are paramount.

We are looking for experience with Web UI JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
