Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer based in Peoria, IL to architect, build, optimize, and sustain robust Java-based applications, microservices, APIs, and integrations within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software solutions that meet functional requirements while adhering to industry best practices.
• Create high-quality source code, unit tests, technical documentation, and configuration updates following established standards.
• Execute rigorous unit and integration testing strategies to ensure application reliability before User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to data integration, performance bottlenecks, deployment pipelines, and system stability.
• Actively participate in code reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and status demonstrations with cross-functional teams.
• Mitigate technical risks by identifying dependencies and blockers early in the development lifecycle.

Technical Requirements

You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of hands-on Java application development experience. Proficiency is required in:

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs.
• Architecture: Microservices patterns and design principles.
• Databases: SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Tools & Practices: Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes containerization.
