Java Developer II - CIS (Service Provider) Opportunity

Expeditors is seeking skilled Java Developers to contribute to the development, support, and enhancement of applications for our API team. We are looking for individuals with extensive Java expertise who can grasp the complexities of our entire system, understand inter-component interactions, and anticipate the impact of changes across the platform.

As a key member of a collaborative project team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, you will be instrumental in designing and producing our core business systems. Your role will involve understanding business challenges and opportunities, and applying your technical skills to design, develop, and test data-driven solutions that help the organization achieve its strategic goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in object-oriented programming and component-based development using Java.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices development.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid understanding and application of SQL.
• Familiarity with build and version control tools such as Maven, CVS, SVN, and Git, including automated build and deployment processes.
• A customer service-oriented mindset coupled with exceptional time management skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with transfer protocols like HTTP/HTTPS.
• Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or JMS.
• Familiarity with web services, including SOAP or RESTful API calls.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or configuration management tools like Chef.
• Experience working with operating systems including UNIX, Linux, and Windows.
