Java Developer

About Position:

Persistent Systems is hiring a talented Java Developer with 2–4 years of experience to own mid-size engagements or lead major workstreams on strategic programs such as workflow-modernization (Pega→Camunda) and data-modernization. As the technical face of Persistent at the module level, you will drive innovation in Hyderabad.

• Location: Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India (Hybrid work supported)

What You'll Do:

• Lead design and delivery of program modules; set code standards and module architecture.
• Scope new workstreams and translate executive requirements into concrete engineering plans.
• Drive AIDLC adoption, measuring Copilot / Speck it ROI on the module.
• Perform lead design and PR reviews while mentoring L1/L2 FDEs.
• Own client technical relationships at workstream/module levels via demos and design reviews.
• Maintain expertise in Java/Spring ecosystems, event-driven architecture with Kafka, GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL), mainframe integration patterns, and regulatory-grade determinism.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Design RAG and Agentic Solutions; advanced context engineering.
• MCP integrations across enterprise tools; define evaluation strategies for AI tooling.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, GitHub Copilot, Maven, PostgreSQL, Docker, Jira/Confluence, GCP fundamentals, Terraform, Camunda/Appian, Vertex AI basics (IBM Watsonx for Z Track B), and agentic frameworks.
