Job Overview

Join Citi as an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This on-site role involves the development and implementation of new and revised application systems. You will collaborate with the Technology team to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming.

Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of applications development procedures, concepts, and basic technical areas to identify and define system enhancements, including script utilization and code analysis.
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups to recommend programming solutions and support customer exposure systems.
• Utilize fundamental programming language knowledge for design specifications.
• Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, performing testing and debugging.
• Act as an advisor or coach to junior analysts.
• Identify and analyze problems, making evaluative judgments to recommend and implement solutions.
• Resolve issues by applying technical experience and following precedents.
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independent judgment.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Assess business risks, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying ethical judgment. Escalate and manage control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, Open Shift cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Intermediate experience in an Applications Development role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, University degree, or equivalent experience.
