Java Big Data Engineer - Grid Dynamics, Bengaluru

Join Grid Dynamics Private Limited in Bengaluru as a Java Big Data Engineer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced distributed systems and leverage your expertise in Big Data technologies. We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong foundation in Java and a passion for solving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize Linux OS performance, including CPU, load averages, network, and memory utilization.
• Deep dive into JVM Garbage Collection strategies and other related JVM components.
• Understand and implement concepts like Connection Pooling, Load Balancers, rate limiting, traffic routing, and network latency.
• Work with Caching Technologies such as Elastic Cache and CDN/Edge Servers.
• Gain experience in container-based architecture.
• Utilize scripting languages like Shell or Python for automation and analysis.
• Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and other critical production issues.
• Debug and resolve complex production problems in a distributed environment.
• Work with microservices architecture and container orchestration using Kubernetes on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Apply in-depth knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture, RESTful web services, and API integration.
• Leverage ELK, Grafana, Splunk, and Humio for application monitoring, metric visualization, dashboard creation, and alert configuration.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of proven experience in delivering advanced solutions for multi-tier, distributed web applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering with 5 years of work experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of work experience.
• ITIL Foundation Certificate or higher is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in Core Java, GoLang, Python, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with the Hadoop Ecosystem (Kafka, Spark, Scala, Hive).
