Citi is seeking an experienced Applications Development Senior Manager to lead teams and drive new application systems within the Technology department. This senior-level role focuses on establishing programs, managing personnel duties (including performance evaluations), and providing technical oversight across multiple development areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage applications development teams to meet established goals and handle staffing issues like hiring and disciplinary actions.
• Leverage deep expertise in various application development domains for system-wide technical guidance.
• Analyze proposed technical solutions and contribute to strategic formulation for applications and functional areas.
• Understand how business units integrate to achieve organizational goals, assessing risks related to reputation, compliance, and ethical practices while supervising others effectively.

Tech Stack & Skills Required:

• Must-Haves: Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Docker, ElasticSearch, Spring Boot Libraries (Functional Programming), TDD/BDD styles, Microservices Design/Development.
• Additional Areas: Cloud certifications preferred; Load Balancing/Caching; Database Optimization; Parallel Processing & Concurrency.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in Apps Development or Systems Analysis.
• SME status in at least one development area with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with clear communication abilities and adaptability.
