java aws backend developer

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Dayspring IT Services in Bengaluru. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications that power our customer journey. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and optimizing APIs, microservices, and data-centric solutions using Java and cloud technologies like AWS Lambda, AWS RDS, and AWS S3. You will collaborate with engineering managers, product managers, and data engineers to ensure solutions align with business needs and deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining APIs, tools, and data-centric capabilities to centralize events and improve data flow.
• Solving technical challenges to enhance development processes, increase efficiency, and unlock new business opportunities.
• Contributing to software architecture discussions and making agile, incremental decisions that benefit long-term growth.
• Systematically identifying patterns and root causes in complex systems to propose logical, analytical solutions.
• Ensuring stable, well-defined solutions that accelerate business decisions and strengthen payment pipeline integrity.
• Working with cross-functional teams, including those in different time zones, to deliver high-impact results.

Ideal candidates will have:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with expertise in Java (preferably Python or Go).
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in system design and software architecture.
• Strong skills in AWS, reliability, site reliability, observability, and monitoring.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities.
