Java Architect

Job Overview

Infosys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Technology Architect to provide technical leadership and strategic direction to project and product teams. This role involves understanding project objectives, leveraging industry best practices to design robust architectural solutions, and detailing technical designs for systems and services. You will collaborate with project managers, scrum masters, and product owners to define epics, user stories, and high-level effort estimations. The architect will also be responsible for building proofs of concept, providing ongoing technical support, resolving performance issues, and driving the creation of reusable artifacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to project/product teams.
• Understand project goals and define best-fit architectural solutions using industry best practices.
• Detail technical designs for systems/services and review team designs and code.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on epics, user stories, effort estimations, and timelines.
• Build proofs of concept to validate solution feasibility.
• Offer regular technical support and guidance to project teams.
• Resolve technical performance issues during project execution.
• Collaborate with talent to create and implement innovative, high-quality solutions.
• Develop reusable artifacts to enhance efficiency.
• Participate in sales pursuits, focusing on client business needs and proactive solutioning.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in defining architectures for highly available systems/services independently.
• Strong Object-Oriented and Services design skills with a deep understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
• Experience in design and development across UI, Business Logic, Data/DB layers, and integration middleware.
• Proven experience architecting systems/services based on Microservices and APIs using Java/JavaScript (Spring Boot, Node).
• Experience selecting and developing with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Couch, Mongo).
• Working knowledge of IDEs (Eclipse/VSCode), Source Code Management (Git), Test-Driven Development, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Spinnaker).
• Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing business functionality/applications on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure, leveraging PAAS services.
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies (Angular/JavaScript/ReactJS), Gen AI tools, and Python.
• Experience working on Agile-based projects.
• Sound analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in architectural design for high-volume data stream/event processing using data pipelines (Kafka, Spark).
• Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM, Google Cloud Deployment Manager).
• Experience designing and provisioning containerized environments/clusters using Kubernetes.
• Experience designing operationally ready systems with enterprise-grade monitoring and alerting platforms (e.g., Fluentd, Prometheus+Grafana/ELK, AWS CloudWatch, Google StackDriver, Azure Monitor).
• Experience planning application and workload migrations to cloud using Re-Host and Re-Platform strategies.
• Experience with Low-Code platforms (OutSystems, PowerApps, Mendix, Quick Base).
