Lead Programmer Analyst – J2EE Backend Development
We are seeking an experienced Lead Programmer Analyst to join our team for a key initiative focused on modernizing Java-based microservices, including framework upgrades, authentication & authorization, and API hardening. As an individual contributor or senior hands-on engineer within a modernization delivery pod, you will work under the guidance of the Technical Lead in a collaborative environment.

  • 5+ to 7 years of experience required for J2EE backend development using Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns to develop scalable applications is essential.
  • Must have hands-on experience implementing authentication & authorization features like OAuth2 and JWT within APIs.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL options (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Proven ability in designing and consuming RESTful APIs is required.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit or Jest will be highly valued. Exposure to secrets management and cloud/container basics like Kubernetes, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
  • You should be prepared to participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to development best practices.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues promptly.
