About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical assistance, troubleshooting, and system maintenance for our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of hardware, software, and networking concepts. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure and supporting our users effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues. Diagnose and resolve technical problems for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Assist users with system setup, configuration, and software installations. Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to Wi-Fi, VPNs, and network drives. Manage and respond to IT support tickets in a timely manner.

System Maintenance & Administration
Perform routine system updates, patches, and security configurations. Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Office 365, or Google Workspace. Ensure proper functioning of email systems, file servers, and shared drives. Maintain IT inventory, including tracking hardware and software licenses.

Cybersecurity & Data Protection
Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect against threats. Assist with antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint security configurations. Educate employees on best practices for cybersecurity and data protection.

Remote & On-Site Support
Provide remote assistance using tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Microsoft Remote Desktop. Offer on-site technical support when necessary, including hardware replacements or network troubleshooting.

Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of IT support requests, issues, and resolutions. Document system configurations, standard procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Generate reports on IT performance, common issues, and areas for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

1-3 years of IT support, helpdesk, or technical support experience.

Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
