Full Job Description
TaskUs is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Gurgaon / Gurugram, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure and providing exceptional support to our users.
As an IT Support Specialist, you will:
- Respond to user requests via telephone and email, accurately logging and recording queries.
- Analyze and diagnose the root causes of hardware and software failures.
- Identify and resolve malfunctions in computer hardware, software, and telecommunications systems, maintaining data and system integrity throughout.
- Perform tests, configuration, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and software updates.
- Assist in user application testing during program implementation, migration, and system maintenance phases.
- Conduct routine desktop system maintenance and upgrades, including applying OS patches.
- Create and maintain documentation for instructional procedures, such as hardware/software installation guides and knowledge-based troubleshooting techniques.
- Manage and maintain an accurate inventory of company-owned computer hardware assets, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on computer systems.
Requirements for this role include:
- A Bachelor's Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related IT/Computer field.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of IT systems and equipment, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
- Extensive understanding of IT requirements and demands within call center operations and corporate environments, particularly in operations support.
- Above-average problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Adaptability to changing work schedules and hours, coupled with excellent customer orientation and interpersonal skills.
- A strong ability to document problems and solutions effectively is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency in time and project management.
