IT Support Specialist

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team in Bengaluru, India. This role is crucial for maintaining system functions and providing essential daily support to our business operations.

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing first and second-line technical support for IT products, resolving technical issues efficiently. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving software bugs, system errors, and performance issues for both internal users and external customers. This role involves providing L2 support for multiple applications, both independently and collaboratively with the team. You will analyze issues, propose workarounds to ensure business continuity with minimal downtime, and promptly address critical issues.

Furthermore, you will engage with users to prioritize tickets and enhancements for application releases, and provide weekly and monthly incident reports to management. Communication of workarounds until issue resolution is key, as is close collaboration with the development team for permanent fixes. You will also be involved in testing new application features and functionalities, and will work with story owners, business analysts, application architects, and deployment teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.

The role also includes providing training and support documentation to end-users and fostering strong working relationships within the Eurofins IT community and with internal customers. Embracing Agile practices is expected.

Required Experience and Skills:

Personal Skills:

• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for an international environment.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an L2 support engineer.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive for professional success in a client-facing environment.
• A willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and functional areas.

Technology Skills:

• Experience in MS SQL programming is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Visual Studio environment, including IDEs like VS2017/2019 or VS Code.
• Experience with source code management tools such as TFS (Azure) or ServiceNow.

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience with ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, or C#.
• Knowledge of HTML, JSON, and Front-end MVC is a plus.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree, or any equivalent graduation.

Additional Information:

Prior experience in industrial settings, particularly with laboratory processes, would be considered an advantage.

Shift Timings: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST.

Work Location: Bangalore.
