It Support Engineer

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, and network services. Responsibilities include managing directory services, implementing security policies, automating tasks, and troubleshooting system and network issues to maintain seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage users, groups, and Organizational Units (OU) within Active Directory.
• Perform comprehensive Active Directory backup and restoration, including authoritative and non-authoritative methods.
• Monitor Active Directory replication status and ensure overall domain health.
• Create, implement, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce policies and configurations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and robust security enforcement.
• Configure and maintain essential network services such as DNS and DHCP.
• Troubleshoot issues related to name resolution and IP address allocation.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including updates and patching.
• Manage user permissions, authentication protocols, and Kerberos policies.
• Implement and uphold security best practices across the IT infrastructure.
• Utilize PowerShell scripting for task automation and efficiency improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve login issues, GPO application failures, and DNS-related problems.
• Provide essential technical support to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operational flow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Active Directory and Windows Server administration.
• Hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
• Solid understanding of AD backup, restoration, and replication processes.
• Knowledge of permissions management, Kerberos authentication, and security policies.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving complex IT issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Approximately 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Microsoft or relevant industry certifications are a significant advantage.
