Full Job Description
As an IT Support Engineer at Google's Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India location, you will be instrumental in supporting the technology that powers Google's operations. This role involves providing frontline user support for internal tools and technologies, ensuring seamless functionality for employees. You will engage in daily user assistance, contribute to long-term technical projects, drive process improvements, and create essential documentation. The Core team, to which this position is aligned, focuses on building and maintaining the technical foundations of Google's flagship products, including underlying design elements, developer platforms, and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include performing root cause analysis for IT issues across various hardware, software, services, and networking equipment, including video and audio conferencing systems. You will advocate for users by identifying and prioritizing solutions for challenging user journeys, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and other support groups to ensure timely incident resolution. Furthermore, you will develop scripts, tools, and processes to enhance user productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to global service improvements. This role may also require travel to provide IT support in distributed offices and at events, as well as participation in global projects.
