IT Security Engineer

Join Savers | Value Village, a prominent for-profit thrift operator in the U.S. known for its commitment to reuse and sustainability. We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer for our Meridian, ID location. This role is crucial in fortifying our cybersecurity posture through proactive monitoring, thorough investigation, and swift response to security incidents. You will collaborate closely with our dedicated security team to continuously enhance our defenses against evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, analyze, and correlate security logs and alerts from SIEM, EDR, network, and cloud sources to detect and investigate potential security incidents.
• Collaborate with security operations and cross-functional teams to develop and execute incident response plans and standard operating procedures, adapting them to current and future threats.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the system-wide risk management function to identify and monitor information security risks.
• Perform detailed root cause and impact analysis to determine attack vectors, affected assets, and potential business risks.
• Coordinate and execute incident response activities across the entire incident lifecycle, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Document incident response actions, timelines, and findings, producing clear reports for technical teams and leadership.
• Recommend, validate, and assist with the implementation of security control improvements and process enhancements based on incident trends.
• Research the latest attack techniques, tools, and trends.
• Assist in evaluating and recommending advancements for security controls across Savers.
• Support the system-wide information security compliance program, ensuring IT activities meet defined requirements, policies, and regulations.
