A leading Global Infrastructure Organization, encompassing Information Technology, is seeking an experienced IT Scrum Master to join their high-performance, progressive team. This role is crucial for managing IT Scrum teams and contributing to the organization's growth and profitability goals through the delivery of IT solutions and support services via a flexible, scalable model.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Lead IT development scrum teams in delivering IT solutions for complex, high-impact business problems from requirements to implementation of integrated solutions and/or infrastructure services.
- Maintain accountability for all processes, resources, and deliverables related to online development.
- Oversee internal and external IT resources in planning, tracking, and executing development from inception to completion.
- Define and manage scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Coach and guide Agile teams on Scrum/Agile principles, frameworks, and practices.
- Support the Product Owner with backlog refinement, prioritization, and user story clarity.
- Identify, log, and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Remove impediments that block team progress and delivery.
- Monitor team velocity, burn-down charts, and other Agile metrics to track performance and identify improvement areas.
- Communicate project and sprint status to leadership and stakeholders clearly and regularly.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety, and high performance within the team.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, scope, and timeline expectations.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communication plans, and engagement strategies.
- Lead governance activities, including status reports, steering committee meetings, and project reviews.
- Ensure compliance with organizational processes, procurement policies, and vendor management.
- Adapt processes and practices based on team maturity, organizational needs, and development complexity.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban) and traditional project management (Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, and budget management.
- Familiarity with Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and cumulative flow diagrams.
- Proficiency in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
- Experience managing scrum teams across multiple Web/ERP/CRM/CIAM/Middleware platforms is preferred.
- Extensive experience working as part of a global, virtual team in a multinational company.
- Excellent facilitation skills for stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and team coaching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in status reporting, dashboard creation, and executive updates.
- Proficient in identifying and managing project risks, issues, and scope changes.
- Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Trello, or equivalents.
- Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or others.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's or University Degree or equivalent. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience required for this level, demonstrating specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
