Title: IT Project Manager – PMO
Position: Full-Time
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Pune-based team. This role is instrumental in overseeing diverse projects, including infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements, solution implementations, and software development initiatives. You will collaborate closely with project managers to ensure the seamless technical delivery of project artifacts and documentation. This hybrid position may also require you to serve as a Scrum Master, adapting to project needs. Furthermore, you will independently manage smaller technical projects within our PMO project delivery framework, providing valuable consulting services to assess and optimize IT systems to achieve organizational objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Technical Project Delivery: Support project managers in the technical execution of project deliverables, documentation, and milestones across infrastructure, security, solution implementations, and software development projects.
- Scrum Master Responsibilities: Act as a Scrum Master for specific projects, leading agile ceremonies, ensuring adherence to agile principles, and promoting effective team collaboration.
- Independent Project Management: Take ownership of smaller technical projects within the PMO framework, managing them from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines. Capable of managing multiple vendor-developed projects simultaneously.
- IT System Consultation: Analyze current IT systems through data gathering, workflow assessments, and system monitoring. Provide informed recommendations for improvements and expansions to meet business objectives.
- Vulnerability Identification: Proactively identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement in IT systems and processes. Communicate findings to leadership and collaborate on strategic solutions.
- Team Training and Implementation Guidance: Train IT teams on new systems and procedures, and guide the successful implementation of recommended changes to ensure business objective alignment.
- Technical Deployment Accountability: Be responsible for the technical deployment and integration of projects, ensuring they meet quality, deadline, and budget requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, technical specifications, and process workflows. Produce regular reports on project status, key milestones, and technical outcomes.
- Compliance and Security: Partner with security teams to guarantee project compliance with security standards and best practices, implementing necessary controls.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance IT operations and business performance.
Position Scope:
- Develop detailed project plans, setting milestones and deliverables aligned with business objectives and deadlines.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to define scope and perform gap analyses, developing process maps for optimal execution strategies.
- Collaborate with Team Leads, Managers, and Vendors to translate business requirements into effective IT solutions tailored to end-user needs.
- Serve as a key point of contact and liaison for internal stakeholders and vendor partners, ensuring synergistic team actions.
- Make informed decisions when presented with multiple project progression options.
- Implement new solutions driven by business changes, and troubleshoot/enhance existing IT solutions.
- Perform quality control throughout project development; review and obtain approval for technical and functional documents as required for IT Governance and SDLC.
- Monitor and measure change using appropriate verification techniques; adjust schedules and targets as project needs or funding evolve.
- Maintain positive relationships with third-party vendors.
- Effectively manage project efforts, including scope, budget, resource allocation, time management, communication, progress reporting, risk management, testing, user training, change management, and transitions to maintenance and support, all in compliance with company standards.
