IT Project Manager

About the Job

We are seeking a versatile and experienced IT Project Manager to join our PMO team. This full-time role involves managing diverse projects spanning infrastructure, security, solution implementations, and software development. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project managers to ensure the successful technical delivery of project artifacts and documentation. This hybrid role may also require acting as a Scrum Master, facilitating agile ceremonies and fostering effective team collaboration. Additionally, the Project Manager will independently manage smaller technical projects within our PMO framework, offering consulting services to assess and enhance IT systems to meet company objectives. Key responsibilities include technical project delivery, acting as a Scrum Master, independent project management of smaller initiatives, IT system consultation, vulnerability identification, team training, technical deployment accountability, documentation and reporting, compliance and security adherence, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist project managers in the technical delivery of project artifacts, documentation, and milestones across infrastructure, security, solution implementations, and software development.
• Act as a Scrum Master for projects as needed, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring adherence to agile methodologies.
• Independently manage smaller technical projects within the PMO project delivery framework, handling multiple vendor-developed projects.
• Assess current IT systems, analyze workflows, and provide data-driven recommendations to meet company needs.
• Identify vulnerabilities and inefficiencies within IT systems and processes, collaborating on strategies to address them.
• Train IT teams on new systems and procedures, guiding implementation to ensure successful adoption.
• Be accountable for the technical deployment and integration of projects, meeting quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints.
• Create and maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and process workflows, generating regular status reports.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure project compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to optimize IT operations.

Position Scope:

• Develop comprehensive project plans, setting targets for milestones and deliverables.
• Review and analyze business systems and user needs to define scope and perform gap analyses.
• Collaborate with Team Leads/Managers/Vendors to translate business requirements into IT solutions.
• Serve as a key point of contact and liaison for internal stakeholders and vendor partners.
• Make effective decisions when presented with multiple project progression options.
• Implement new solutions and troubleshoot/enhance existing IT solutions.
• Perform quality control on projects throughout development, securing approval for technical and functional documents.
• Monitor and measure change, adjusting schedules and targets as needed.
• Maintain healthy relationships with third-party vendor partners.
• Effectively manage project efforts including scope/budget/resource management, time management, communications, risk management, testing, user training, change management, and transition to maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
