IT Engineer

About the Role

You will join the IT Digital Enablement and Data Services Competence Center of ContiTech as an IT Engineer - Data Lakehouse.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and operate scalable batch and streaming pipelines in Azure Databricks using PySpark/Scala. Implement ingestion from SAP/APIs into bronze/silver/gold data layers.
• Data Engineering Excellence: Apply software engineering principles (TDD, modular design) with full version control and CI/CD automation to ensure high-quality, maintainable codebases.
• Data & Analytics Applications: Build dimensional models for SCM needs compatible with Power BI. Develop master data strategies including Slowly Changing Dimensions.
• Collaboration: Work within agile product teams alongside business stakeholders, architects, and ML engineers across a global delivery footprint (India/Germany/Philippines).

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Scala, Delta Lake, ADLS Gen2.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
• Proficiency in DevOps practices, Git workflows, and Infrastructure as Code.

Experience:

We are looking for a professional with 3–6 years of hands-on experience building production-grade codebases. Experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or related fields is highly beneficial.
