Role Overview
Sky Systems, Inc. is hiring an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician for on-site deployment in Waukegan, Illinois.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software/OS issues while strictly adhering to warranty terms and security compliance protocols.
- Perform expert break/fix services on desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, routers, switches, firewalls, and other peripherals (Smart Hands).
- Execute basic administration for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems within enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
- Leverage networking knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP to resolve connectivity issues including end-user cabling problems.
- Analyze repeat calls to develop preventive actions utilizing robust Problem Management skills.
Requirements
- Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of field support experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; flexibility for varying schedules;
- Preferred: Associate Degree in Electronics, CompTIA A+ Certification, OEM vendor certifications (Dell/Lenovo), and familiarity with ServiceNow/Remedy ticketing tools.
