IT Data Analyst

Syneos Health, a leader in integrated life sciences services, seeks a skilled IT Data Analyst to accelerate customer success. As an IT Data Analyst in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting business-critical data integration and operational processes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring smooth pipeline execution, system reliability, and timely data delivery. You will collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues, implement improvements, and maintain data integrity across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, including joins and Common Table Expressions (CTEs), for data extraction and transformation.
• Lead client engagements and present complex findings effectively.
• Work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Implement and verify business logic and data quality checks within Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure timely data delivery by monitoring system performance and proactively addressing issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Support operational and analytical data needs by collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for continuity and clarity.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), understanding release processes (Dev to Ops Handover) and release management.
• Understand data integrations with third-party platforms like Veeva CRM and Salesforce.
• Provide support during shift hours to align with EST time zones as per business requirements.
• Communicate effectively within the team and across departments to align on objectives and tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in data analysis, data engineering, or ETL processes.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification is mandatory.
• Databricks certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.

Technical Skills:

• Primary: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2 (ADLS), SQL, Python/PySpark.
• Secondary: Unity Catalog, Lakehouse Architecture.
• Nice to Have: Salesforce, JIRA, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Key Vault, Azure Automation Account.
