Full Job Description
We are seeking an IT Data Analyst to join our leading biopharmaceutical solutions organization. This pivotal role is essential for maintaining data integrity, overseeing data pipelines, and providing critical operational support within our IT infrastructure, all aimed at accelerating customer success and optimizing our operational workflows.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Proficiency in writing and interpreting complex SQL queries, including advanced techniques such as joins and Common Table Expressions (CTEs), for effective data extraction and manipulation.
- Management and monitoring of data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Understanding of integrations with key systems like Veeva CRM and Salesforce.
- Implementation and oversight of data quality and business-level checks within data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of data and pipeline-related issues, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Monitoring system performance and reliability, diagnosing issues, and ensuring data delivery meets agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Demonstrated understanding of Azure DevOps and Release processes, particularly the Dev to Ops Handover stages.
- Flexibility to work in different Eastern Standard Time (EST) shifts: 11:30 am IST - 8:30 pm IST and 4:30 pm IST - 2:30 am IST.
- Collaboration with business stakeholders and other technical teams to deliver operational activities supporting our services.
- Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate documentation.
Skills Required
- A full-time bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, IT, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Must possess Azure DP-203 Certification.
- Databricks Related Certifications are highly desirable.
- Exceptional collaboration and teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for clear and effective interaction.
- Primary Technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Gen2, Azure Dedicated SQL Pools, SQL, Python/PySpark.
- Secondary Technologies: Unity Catalog, Lakehouse Architecture.
- Good to have: Salesforce, JIRA, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Key Vault, Azure Automation.
