About the Role: IT Auditor (ITGC & ITAC) in Bengaluru
Quest Global is seeking a skilled IT Auditor to join our team in Bengaluru, offering a hybrid work model. This role is crucial for ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of our IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of IT General Controls (ITGC), including:
- User Access Management (Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes)
- Privileged Access Controls
- Change Management (Normal and Emergency Changes)
- Patch Management
- Backup & Recovery procedures
- Perform control walkthroughs, evaluate control designs, and test operating effectiveness.
- Identify control gaps, assess associated risks, and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Develop and maintain high-quality audit documentation, workpapers, and reports.
- Evaluate automated controls within critical business applications, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). This includes testing input, processing, and output controls, interface controls, data integrity, system-enforced validations, and workflows.
- Assess the reliability of system-generated reports used in financial reporting.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations) to gain a thorough understanding of business processes.
- Support audits related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley), Internal Audit, Risk Assessments, and ideally ISO 27001, SOC1, and SOC2.
- Actively participate in risk assessments and contribute to audit planning.
- Track and validate the remediation of identified audit findings.
- Manage stakeholders effectively by collaborating with IT, Security, and Business teams.
- Communicate audit findings clearly and concisely to all relevant stakeholders.
- Assist external auditors during their audit cycles.
What We're Looking For:
- 3–5 years of experience in ITGC and ITAC testing, with a strong background in internal or external IT audits.
- A robust understanding of access controls, change management, incident management, and business process controls, including their impact on financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Workday are preferred).
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (basic to intermediate level).
- Proven experience in preparing audit documentation and reports.
- Preferred certifications include CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or CPA/CA (as an added advantage).
- Exposure to data analytics in audit processes and GRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Archer) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills, with exceptional attention to detail and a rigorous approach to auditing.
- Ability to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Success Metrics:
- Timely completion of ITGC/ITAC testing cycles.
- Production of high-quality audit documentation with minimal revision requests.
- Proactive identification and reporting of control gaps and risks.
- Effective coordination and collaboration with auditors and internal teams.
