IS Engineer

IS Engineer - Amgen Inc. - Hyderabad

Amgen Inc. is seeking a skilled IS Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications and solutions that align with business objectives. You will be instrumental in ensuring the high availability and optimal performance of critical systems and applications. Collaboration with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers is key to creating scalable, high-quality software. Responsibilities include automating operations, proactive system health monitoring, and rapid incident response to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate strong rapid prototyping capabilities, translating concepts into functional code swiftly.
• Manage and maintain daily operations for Veeva Clinical Operations vault applications.
• Continuously update knowledge on the latest trends, advancements, and standard processes for Veeva Clinical Operations Vault applications.
• Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Analyze and interpret functional and technical requirements for Veeva Clinical Operations Vault applications, translating them into detailed software architecture and design specifications.
• Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure software quality, adhering to IS change control and GxP Validation processes.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for software designs, code, and development processes.
• Integrate applications with other systems and platforms to facilitate seamless data flow and functionality.
• Stay current with Veeva Vault features, new releases, and standard processes.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree and 1-3 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; OR
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; OR
• Diploma and 7-9 years of experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault configuration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or other relevant languages.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with API integrations (e.g., MuleSoft).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong learning agility, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
• Experience in managing GxP systems and implementing GxP projects.
• Extensive expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, testing, data analysis, and change control.
• Experience with Veeva Vault applications such as Vault Clinical.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Professional Certifications (Preferred):

• SAFe for Teams certification
• MuleSoft Certified Developer
• Vault Platform Administrator or Equivalent Vault Certification
