IoT Software Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an IoT Software Developer for our Device Engineering Team in Chennai to build software connecting industrial machines, edge devices, and cloud platforms. You will develop reliable code on Windows-based edge devices that collect machine data, communicate securely with the cloud, and enable remote management at scale.

Responsibilities

• Tech Implementation: Implement components based on designs using .NET/C#, apply coding standards, and make basic technical decisions within assigned tasks.
• Delivery & Execution: Translate requirements into working software aligned with sprint goals. Complete task breakdowns and effort estimates proactively raising risks or blockers.
• Quality Practices: Write clean, testable code; contribute to unit/integration tests; participate in code reviews; meet DoR/DoD criteria following DevOps/security practices.
• Support & Collaboration: Troubleshoot defects in dev/prod environments; support bug fixes and enhancements. Collaborate with developers, QA, Product Owners, and Tech Leads to improve skills and drive success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's degree in CS or related field.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET; working knowledge of Python/scripting.
• Understanding of TDD, Azure DevOps/Git/CI-CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with MQTT, OPC-UA protocols and AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Ideal Candidate

You have hands-on experience in IoT, industrial automation, edge computing, or device lifecycle management. You are familiar with Azure IoTHub, DPS, Functions, Storage, OTA updates, and cybersecurity controls for IoT.
