iOS Developer
Full Job Description
About Nexus
You don't have an AI story if you don't have your data story. That's where NexusOne comes in.
We're the converged data platform for the AI era — composable by design, built on an open-source foundation, and AI-native from the ground up. One identity, one governance envelope, one operational layer across every mainframe, data lake, warehouse, and streaming system in the business. For the first time, enterprises can bring their existing stack along instead of rebuilding it — and still give AI agents full context across the estate.
What we stand for is simple: sovereign data, interoperable systems, decoupled intelligence — delivered the way modern software should be. No rip-and-replace. No multi-year transformation. Our CEO Anu Jain puts it well: we turn the 'ball of yarn' of data integrations into a unified engine — less like assembling car parts, more like buying the car ready to drive.
It's working, and fast. We're tripling revenue year over year, backed by Insight Partners, and running in production in environments most vendors won't touch. Our platform processes credit risk data for 90%+ of US small businesses — 40M+ — every month.
Role Overview
We are looking for a contractual iOS Developer based remotely in India.
Duration: 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Own iOS features end to end, from design handoff through development, testing, and release.
- Design, build, and maintain native iOS apps in Swift using SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Turn Figma designs into smooth, accessible, pixel-accurate interfaces.
- Connect the app to backend services: integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, handle authentication (OAuth/JWT), error handling, caching, and offline states.
- Work with backend engineers to define API contracts and test endpoints with tools such as Postman or Charles Proxy.
- Write unit and UI tests with XCTest and keep the codebase clean and modular.
- Set up code signing, certificates, and provisioning profiles, and manage builds in Xcode.
- Maintain separate QA, UAT, and production builds using Xcode schemes and build configurations, following a branch-per-environment workflow.
- Upload builds to App Store Connect, run TestFlight beta testing with internal and external testers, and act on tester feedback.
- Prepare App Store listings and handle submission, App Review, and production releases, including phased rollouts.
- Monitor crashes and performance after launch with Instruments, Crashlytics, or Sentry.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional iOS development experience with at least one app live on the App Store.
- Hands-on experience taking apps from design to deployment, including TestFlight beta distribution and App Store submission.
- Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs into iOS apps using URLSession or Alamofire, with JSON parsing via Codable.
- Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
- Solid grasp of iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or TCA.
- Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or SwiftData.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD for mobile (Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, Bitrise).
- Familiarity with analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing.
