Internal Control Specialist

Adyen is seeking an Internal Control Specialist with a focus on technology risks to join our growing team in Mumbai. As part of the global Internal Control team, you will play a crucial role in advancing Adyen India's growth by strengthening and managing our risk and internal control framework. You will proactively and independently operate within a complex and dynamic global environment, acting as a key liaison between the global Internal Control team and the local Indian organization.

Your responsibilities will include strengthening and managing the local internal control framework, supporting local management, and evaluating environmental changes to assess their impact on processes, risks, and controls. You will identify opportunities for improvement and automation within Adyen India's processes, controls, and technology, and coordinate the testing of controls to report on their effectiveness. Additionally, you will manage requests from regulators and auditors for audits such as RBI, SAR, and SOC1/SOC2, and collaborate with the global team on managing the global internal control framework and contributing to various projects.

We are looking for individuals with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), M.B.A., or C.A. and over 4 years of relevant experience in external audit, risk management, or internal control functions. Experience with IT risk management, designing and testing controls, and knowledge of IT processes and risks are essential. Prior experience in Banking, NBFC, or a Big 4 firm would be advantageous. You should be comfortable operating independently in a complex global environment, possess strong critical thinking skills, and have a keen interest in understanding and executing based on emerging internal and external developments. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required to build a network and serve as a trusted advisor.
