About the Role
The Intern-Systems Engineering position is based in Hyderabad, India, offering hands-on opportunity to work on complex R&D Programs related to various Tracker solutions within Nextpower. Candidates are expected to possess sound Mechanical or Applied Physics engineering knowledge to perform load calculations, FEA, develop simulation models, and assist in systems-level testing at the Center for Solar Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in system level design for Tracker solutions and analyze behaviors related to the Mechanical/Structural domain.
- Perform product failure mode analysis from testing and reverse engineering.
- Work on developing standard Matlab/Python based tools related to Design Optimization.
- Use CAD/CAE software (Solid Works, Ansys) for finite element analysis, design optimization, fatigue analysis, structural dynamics, kinematics, vibrations, thermal analysis, and plastic part design.
- Create comprehensive documentation and reports.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Ph.D in Structural/Mechanical/Applied Physics Engineering with an excellent academic record.
- Proficiency in Solid Works, Ansys FEA, Matlab, Simulink, Python.
- Strong aptitude in mechanical failure analysis and Open Sees environment (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
